An A+ Effort

I hope you got a A on this because this is one hilarious piece with great optimization, timing, presentation, and humor.

The graphics fit the style you were aiming for and while they weren't jawdropping, they added rather than detracted from the humor. I'm not going to spoil the cameos for those who haven't seen the film, but they are hilarious. Instead of making the usual riffs at DBZ you had your own unique take which makes it funny. And I loved the 3D esque opening and the outrageous ending.

My primary complaint...you didn't have a replay button! I know that's hard to add after you've done all the work, but please, I want to play it again and again!

Clock Flashes tend to annoy me, so this Flash, being a parody, earns high marks from me. Great work.

You have good production values for your work, but emo-bashing is more tired than posers trying to be emo.

Good...but Problematic

Graphics, though not the most elaborate, are faithful to the character models. The sounds was fairly good, and I liked the voice acting . I liked the little touches as Lulu is "evil" enough to be on Shin-Ra's payroll. And this piece was funny while spotlighting one of Final Fantasy VII's plot holes.

...So what's the big problem? Timing. There's no precise way to describe it, but all the lines seemed to be just a half a second off from the optimum pace.

I also have to deduct a point for having Garnet cast Firaga. Garnet's a White Mage and a Summoner. She cannot use Black Magic. It didn't seem like a joke either, but like a genuine mistake.

Okay...but could be awesome...

There isn't much technically wrong with this flash except for some substandard sound, and even that isn't that much of a detraction. The biggest problem with this movie is embedded in its pacing...it's entirely too slow. This turns events that could be hilarious into boring things that happen to occur during the course of the Flash.

A Moving Tribute

I have read Night on more than one occasion, and I must say that this movie is a great intepretation and an important piece to be preserved on Newgrounds. The graphics don't need to be any "better" than what they are. Too much fluidity and complexity would distract from the movie's point.

Great

There need to be more Flash pieces like this on Newgrounds. This is simply wonderful. The art style and the graphics were appropritate as they expressed the emotion without trying to be too elaborate or too minimalist. The sound was crystal clear...quite an accomplishent for how long it played.

Not Perfect, but Pretty Good

You don't need to comment about how hard you worked on it. Anyone who's made something with Flash and has seen this entry can tell you did work on it.

The visuals are okay, although I feel that the animation and movement need some work to be smoother, but the style and presentation more than make up for it.

The sound is the big issue. I understand it had to be compressed. The problem is that the sound still plays for a long time after the end of the film. If this music were cut off earlier, I am certain that this entry could have had higher quality sound.

Still, it's good to see an entry that shows an amount of effort.

Sadly Mediocre

There's good in this Flash. It opens well with a sense of purpose. But then it falls apart. While I won't take points off for the opinions you express, I do take points away in the ineffective way they are. This Fash movie ends with a still phootgraph in a classroom. That is not a good ending. So since this piece starts high, then ends low, I give it something in the middle.

Too Wonderful...and Too Long

Stunning graphics and amazing sound combined with a simple story and a dose of humor are all apparent in this Flash. But there's a big problem with this Flash. It's just simply too long for a largely dialogue-free short. While the pace picks up toward the end, in the beginning, I was getting bored with the setup. It made me appreciate the visuals, but it distracted from the flow of the movie as a whole. The individual sequences are paced extraordinarily; the problem is as a whole, it just doesn't work.
