How Webcomics Should Be

The idea of a comic presented in Flash is one that has been done by others, but usually efforts result in a slide show of still images or an animated effort that loses all the comic book touches. This shows what an on-line comic could be like, with just enough animation to keep the reader interested while allowing the viewer to set his or her own pace. I also like the test at the beginning. The only thing I don't like is the fact that one can't go backwards in addition to forward. Otherwise, this is excellent.

What a creative use of Flash, using a combination of vector graphics with actual pictures. A great video to a great song. Vegetables!

Not bad, but could be improved

While the quality of the drawn characters is a little low the actual animation was pretty good, especially the details like eyes and other body parts. However the audio was horrible. Sound compression is a nightmare, but using any sort of subtitles can help the viewer understand what's going on. Sound effects would also make this piece better.

I don't like the fight concept, and I wish there was more of a story., But admit you showed the action in a dynamic fashion and I do love the choose-your-own-winner feature.

In short, I can tell this was something you worked hard on, but needs a little more "oomph" to be great.

i added the sound as the last thing...and maximally compressed so the viewer won't have to wait long. looks like it was a big mistake as everyone says it ruined the effect. you're the second person who says i should make storyline-flashes :) i was thinking about it and you know ,what ? the fighting concept DID get kinda boring once you think about it. thanks for the tip the next one will be a story ^_^

Amazing Visuals!

This piece is extremely pretty and the animation is superb. How this managed to stay under a megabyte is amazing. My only gripe is that the sound quality is a little low, which is probably because it's so compressed.

[Black Hood]

An okay piece killed by poor timing...

This was average, I'd say, although I did like some of the spoofing. The problem is that you uploaded this just after a far superior "Hood" Flash was uploaded, making this one look like a knockoff.

[The Lub Boat 2]

Not bad.

It's pointless and short, but it's funny, playing on people's expectations and desires, and the quality of the components are pretty nice.

[Red Riding Hood]

Supremely Spectacular!

The retelling of Little Red Riding Hood has been done many times, but this is perhaps the best and most twisted I've experienced. This one is far more subversive than even Into the Woods or The Company of Wolves. What I like most about it is that it plays on not only the audiences expectations of the original story, but plays upon what has been made obsolete by the post-modern, satirical, and feminist reinvisionings as well. I also love the visuals, of course, and the audio presentation is wonderful. It's so terrible it had to be compressed, but even so everything was clear. All supported by an absolutely wonderful story. This is your best work yet. And close to the best Flash on this site period.

Genuinely creepy

If those are your nightmares, you captured them well in Flash. The nonsensical and exaggerated nature of a dream is drawn and directed superbly, and the images are weird and scary at the same time. It's a good thing I don't have dreams like that, although after seeing this, I probably will.

[Cloud's Confession]

Your arms are broken...

Talk about an ending that saves a piece. I was worried that the confession was going to be something predictable. It wasn't. I didn't see that coming at all. I love the audio quality, the voice acting and music from FFX are superb. My only complaint...the way the text read next to the last frame could be considered offensive. There are other phrases one could use to say one doesn't like something.
