Could have been great...

A sequel to Crackinball Z? I hadn't even seen that you uploaded this.

Visually, the piece improves on the first by adding new characters and different poses. The humor is even better, given all the wonderful sight gags, And how can you hate Bob Marley?

The sound quality, though was far better in the first one. I can understand the compression given the length, but this is where you need subtitles. I couldn't understand what was being said...at all...While it shows how well you can construct humor, I'd still wish I could hear the dialogue. Maybe that can wait for Crackinball Z 3.

Please...cut off the music!

Of all the things this piece has gotten wrong, the worst is that the music does not cut off at the end quickly, bumping up the file size needlessly. Cut the music off, and submit any future pieces with higher quality audio.

Horrible visuals, hilarious Flash

On one hand, I like how you make the cactus mimic a Cactuar's motion. On the other hand, the graphics, while intentionally bad, hindered the humor at times. The sound made up for it, though, and I appreciated some of the very accurate jabs thrown at DDR and CSI.

Everybody says it's copying off cactuar, but until people reviewed about it, I'd never even heard about cactuar. I thought I was original. :(

Old School For Princess Toadstool

The Super Mario Bros 3. cartoon was awesome, and I have to love how you mocked the fact that the Koopa Kids have taken a major backseat to Bowser Jr. I also love the expression on Peach's face and the cartoon style King Koopa at the end! The only problem is that this piece actually seems to emphasize the rift between the old games and the new games.

Good and Bad

This movie got a lot of things right, but two things wrong.

The graphics were actually great compared to most sprite movies. The special effects didn't jar with the pixel art. The sound was good as well. Finally, this piece was fairly dynamic and fluid.

The first problem is in the text boxes you use to advance dialogue. They are barely readable because of the color choices you made. The second problem is that the introduction to this movie is about as long as the movie itself. There's nothing wrong with a short piece, but given the length one has to make more of an impact with it. Right now your story has barely developed.

thanks for the review ..... i will make episode 2 alot longer and there will be more of a story

A Decent, but Problematic Music Video

I've longed for a video of this song ever since I heard of it, and technically there's not that much wrong with this piece. The problem with this video is that is done with sprites. Normally, I would not be bothered about this, because nearly all good sprite movies require a great deal of custom sprite edits and use a program that works with vector graphics (Flash is not very forgiving when it comes to sprites). With this song, however, the preset animations lack the creativity and expression needed to visually interpret the audio.

You get an A++

This was a really good music video for a really good song. The curious thing about the style is that the main characacter of this flash shares some slight, superficial physical similarites Haruka/Amara from Sailor Moon. Between this appearance and the way the Sound of Silence is visually protrayed, I have to wonder if there are deliberate but tenuous connections or if I'm simply seeing things that aren't there.

Hilarious Short...

This is a nice short film that does what it's supposed to do - make the viewer laugh. However, I do have a problem. The sound is a little lacking in quality. Other than that, great work.

Thanx. I do have to improve the FXs.... although keeping them small allow this animation to be view in the PSP

Not bad...just ugly

The graphics are simply abysmal and the animation is near non-exisitent, so that hurts the movie tremendously. That being said, past the crude graphics there is a simple story, and even the graphics are placed well -- it does seem like a comic book come to life. While the pacing could be far better, and there need to be a few more good wisecracks from our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, little things like the Sandman cameo and the music choice make this piece better than average.

Sick...Twisted...and Close to Perfect

There are few mature pieces that I enjoy, simply because most are pointless, violent, and not done well. This piece is not only made up of top notch components, but is put together well through a simple but humorous story and great direction. It's a rare sprite Flash that manages to include sprites from different games as cameos and yet have those sprites fit the tone of the movie. With top notch pixel art and custom frames I'm sure you worked tirelessly on, the extras put it over the top. The menu is wonderful, and I loved being able to hear a clip of the opening to the Super Mario Bros. Super Show from there. M is Bad, but this Flash is Awesome!

There's nothing to say, except that I like watching Flash movies on Newgrounds.
