Better than the sum of its parts

If I had seen these movies individually, I would have thought this piece was lacking, but presenting the movies all at once makes this piece a lot better. You're great with sound and dialogue, and you make your piece both interactive and smooth like Final Fantasy III. The only downside is the text choice that you use. In the first movie it was fine, but the second and third movie had a fancy font that looked pretty was wasn't as readable. Also, this combined with the color choice makes the credits to the third movie truly impossible to read. But this is great. Thumbs up!

Good, but overdone

This isn't a bad Flash. The problem is that there are many more and far better Flash movies that crtique this issue, and this has no original complaints.

As someone who has used Flash on the creative end with disatrous results, I understand that it is technically easier to make a bad sprite movie than any Flash movie using original characters drawn by the creator. However, not all sprite movies are bad, nor are all "drawn" efforts good. A good Flash movie is good regardless of whether it uses sprites or is frame-by-frame.

Good...but puzzling.

You imitated the Dr. Katz quivering style very well, and this was put together well, although I think it was a little too slowly paced. My dumb question is, "What was in the egg?" It didn't seem clear to me, and this brought down an excellent flash to being okay.

That poor match!

So close to perfect that I can only comment on its sole flaw. I think this piece would have been better if spoken word had been "whew" and not two whole sentences. The visuals and sounds spoke for themeselves; the voice acting was a little overkill.

That being said this is awesome.

Heh, without those sentences, some people might not've gotten the pun.

Very Good

This piece is presented very well, written well, drawn well, and I love the unique way the subtitles are shown on screen.

My only complaint is that the sound quality of the spoken word isn't very clear. Even though I wouldn't be able to understand the language, I would have liked to hear the words being spoken.

Pretty Funny

This was good graphically and it was funny, but I think the sound quality could have been a little higher. With a little polish, this could be better than good. but it's okay now.

I do like the method you use for displaying subtitles. It makes the movie a more interactive affair.

Why is this movie rated so low?

This is easily the funniest thing that I've seen all day. So simple, but it's timed extremely well, which makes it so hilarious. My only suggestion is to not have it loop, but even so, I can't help but look at it over and over again.

Good Idea...so...so execution

I actually liked the idea of "dancing" Mortal Kombat sprites. It's just that the execution was rather bare bones...

I loved the music, although I'm worried the high sound quality needlessly bumped up.

Perfectly Sophmoric

This is actually very good. While the content at times can be very "random" and very juvenile, but this piece is actually a quality piece that makes use of sound, video, and animaton, that has a great sense of timing and presentation. There's more work put into this piece than most Flash entries I've seen, and that alone earns it high marks. It's hard to skirt the line between silly and stupid, but this crew does it so well.

Fluid animation...too tiny of a character...

This is a great idea, expanding on the concept of extra "lives" and literally deconstructing the boundaries of a video game. It is executed near-flawlessly, with great animation, great music, great sound effects....great almost everything.

But there's a critical flaw in this flash. The stickman is way too tiny, especially given that he's supposed to be a video game character. It takes away from the whole "game" feel of this Flash. Next time, make him bigger, and make a more video-game like environment for the stickman to interact in.

There's nothing to say, except that I like watching Flash movies on Newgrounds.
