Good work, but it isn't FLASH!

This is remarkably well done...but this is not FLASH. In a Flash portal, I believe the entires should have a significant amount of Flash content in it. Putting video into a timeline is not Flash.

Two Steps Back.

Thank you for resolving the issue regarding the character names.

Unfortunately, this episode evolves in the wrong way. The drawings now look less polished than they did in the first episode. The story is still lackluster. And this piece really needs voices.

Looks Better...Sounds worse....

You've cleaned up the drawings and characters tremendously, but I still don't like the tecnical animation style.

But this really, really needs voice acting. Without it, the piece is very, very boring.

And about the story...did you change the names because you're afraid of a lawsuit, or is this supposed to be a parody and I don't get it? IN any case the writing still suffers, although now I see why. Everything relevant to the Flash should be explained in the Flash. Referring to other material for the crux of one's story isn't a good idea.

Son-Finale responds:

Thank you for your fair and honest review, I appreciate it. ^_^

The name changes are nothing to with lawsuits. These characters are releated geneticly to the original cast (who will appear).I designed them to resemble Goku, Vegeta...ect. As a sort of way to help people get used to the series and its cast quickly.

Also I intend to explain Son Pauten's death very soon in more detail.

Great sound, decent animation...bad story.

The sound is great and the direction of this piece are outstanding. I got the feeling I had been watching an actual television episode.

You draw well and animate well, but the technique of animation is annoying. While your frame-by-frame is excellent, any DBZ flash should feature far more tweening than you're using.

The only thing I really, really didn't like was the story so far. I don't mind alternate universe stuff, but this story just seems...blah. Maybe it'll be get better.

It's-a Okay...

When I watched this Flash, I was immediately reminded of the Super Mario Land Flash series. This piece has high production values and looks just like the game. But the humor is VERY one-note with practically the same punchline (protagonist gets killed by something completely random). The titles also seemed to be a little odd. The presentation and direction sizzles. The writing drizzles.

Too Much Funny

Easily the best Flash movie I've seen all day, and I've seen a lot of movies today. This edition, as always, is simply excellent. It's really sad that the bad writing in the comics provides an endless source of parody, but you take those stabs so well.

Good Work...Again

I noted in another review that I had not been impressed with your other Flash movies save that one. I confess now I was mistaken. I enjoyed this movie as well, One thing I did hate was the use of tweened mouth movments on the various Links as they sang. The vector graphics combined with pixel graphics was a bit unsettling, even if it resulted in a perfect lip synch.

Wonderful

I've seen a few of your sprites Flash Movies and wasn't impressed by them, but I was amazed by the quality of this Flash movie. It was just the right length with the right audio and video. Someting simple, short, and with two styles of sprites that actually go together well. And it was funny too. There's nothing that can be improves. A darn near close to perfect short Flash.

Beautifully composed...average execution...

Perhaps I've been spoiled by Misteroo's parody Flash but while this latest edition of the 8-Bit movies is easily the most well produced of the Flash movies to date, it seems to be all style, no subtance. It starts out brilliant anf hilarious introduction, and the navigation and interactive parts are wonderful. The sound is excellent and the graphics are great. But when it came to the actual movie itself, I felt as though the essesnce of 8-Bit Theater was missing. The delivery of the lines lacked the impact that they needed to be funny. I don't blame the voice actors, but the direction and composition. The pacing is off and some of the scenes weren't framed as well as they could have been.

This isn't a bad movie, but just a good one that suffers from more problems than the previous episode, which is disappointing given that the first three 8-Bit Flash movies are still superior in quality than the ones that came after it.

Another Hilarious Flash

I love your X-Men Flash movies because they highlight the ridiculous direction X-Men has taken in recent times. I loved the various cameo appearances. The part where Bishop recounts the events of AoA a.l.a. Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz had me bursting with laughter. A great job at skewering what needed to be skewered.

There's nothing to say, except that I like watching Flash movies on Newgrounds.
