[John Williams Tribute]

john Williams is cool...but...

I like the idea of a tribute to John Williams, although it can be argued that a lot of his earlier themes tended to have similar melodies and tendencies. The problem is that this really isn't a tribute...at all. All you did was present some information poorly alongside some movie posters to the accompanying themes. Had there been some original material, or even a menu of some sorts, this would be awesome. Unfortunately, it's just a poor quality slideshow.

[Old Mario Bros: Prelude]

"Found the secret warp zone while working..."

I too miss the olden days of Mario, when Mario wasn't considered a redhead (at least in the US) and the plumbers were from our world. I also love how you deal with the cusring in a hilarious way, by adding the sound effects. This is one great piece, even if the visuals could use a little work.

May the Super Mario Bros. Super Show live on in our hearts!

Hilarious parody

The sound is wonderful, the acting is wonderful, and the art is good enough to convey the humor. I have to love the jabs at Castlevania and the fact that heroes automatically barge into other people's lairs and take stuff without asking first. Great work.

Great!

Not every piece has to be ambitious to work, although I won't say this not ambitious. It's very difficult to envision and make a music video to a song such as this without it tying directly to the video game in question. However, there have been pieces if yours in the past that appeared to be more complicated in construction and character models. The simplistic style works, though, because of one thing -- timing. By having a mastery of this element, this changes a Flash that could easily be above average into something that's superb.

My only problem with it was that I expected more of a Hammer Bros. feel to the action, although I do see where the cone is a nod to the hammers they throw. Other than this, it's well done.

Not so good...

There's not much of anything in this piece, which is a shame, because the animation of the character walking was good. I like how you made the portion of the character dark as it walked past the tinted window.

With some sound and an actual story, you can do far better.

Bad sound quality ruins an otherwise good Flash

This is a fairly well done frame-by frame piece. It has a nice style and was drawn well.

The sound quality is a bit low, though. If it had been higher, this would have been a miuch better piece. But the simplicity of this Flash requires the sound to be stronger, crisper, and clearer. Instead of a really good Flash, this only slightly better than average.

[LoZ: My Immortal]

Absolutely Brilliant

Normally, most Flash movies do a poor job of mixing sprites from different games. However, this piece was done so well that had I not been familiar with the Zelda series that I would have assumed these sprites came from the same game. At the same time you constantly, visually refer to the long history of these characters while at the same time bringing the lyrics to life (Evanescence pun intended). You even managed to include bits of humor in this piece. All in all, this is excellent.

A Sweet, well, done Flash.

Between the wonderful sprite manipulation and the lack of a "shock for shock sake" story, you have put together an excellent holiday Flash movie. Thank you.

[A Very Spritey Christmas]

An excellent movie...

This movie is simply excellent in its construction, direction, writing, and compilation. I can only hope the Christmas message is not lost on those who crticize sprite movies unfairly.

[Crappy Dragonball Thing 2]

A vast improvement over the original one.

There's not much that I can say about this except that it's very funny, well-timed, well-drawn with a unique style. Everything is so much better than the original one that I give you a 10 for improvement alone.
